Introducing ISIC to South Africa

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) was reintroduced to the South African market in 2009. Sploosh Digital was briefed to assist with this introduction by reviewing the brand image and creating an e-commerce website.

We immediately spotted an opportunity to step away from the clichéd image of a young man and woman on a scooter, sporting the corporate colours, to something that would appeal to a broader audience and across a wider demographic.

By developing a cheeky character with a massive smile and the communication to go with it, we were able to communicate some of the key benefits of owning an ISIC.

The initial project included campus posters, stickers, t-shirts, displays and a website. All communication points to the website which receives the registrations and membership fees.
